Verizon Wireless is going to release the Motorola DROID X2 dual-core Android smartphone, which is the follow-up to the original DROID X. The new phone is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor and run Android 2.2 OS. The new dual-core CPU makes the X2 capable of loading webpage faster and handling Flash Player.

The DROID X2 features a 4.3-inch qHD 960×540 touchscreen, a 8 Megapixel auto focus camera with dual LED flash, 8GB internal storage, GPS/AGPS, and of course Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. The large-screen phone has 512MB RAM and comes with a 8GB microSD card. It includes support for DLNA and Mobile Hotspot capability, allowing you to share your 3G connection with up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices. The X2 also offers Mirror Mode that allows you to view and share your photos, videos and downloaded movies on a larger TV via HDMI output.
Verizon will release the Motorola DROID X2 on 19 May for $199.99 with a new two-year customer agreement.
